      SHELF/ ROOMDIVIDER

  PYRITE

Design-history- course, -Autumn 2021

In my process I sometimes like to work directly in the material. Here I used the Aluminum sheets formability to make it in to a arch. In the arches, you can place books or small objects that you want to display a little extra.

This is made in half scale, but in full scale it will be a room divider/bookshelf. Pyrite is named after a favorite stone.

The stone pyrite reminds us of the sun and the radiant power of the soul and also protects against negative energy. In the same way the arches in this shelf will protect every object and give it a little extra glow when sun shines on.
